Richard Coleman O'Beirne
1948 – 2016
Richard O’Beirne was a second lieutenant in the US Army’s Air Defense Artillery, a systems engineer, an actuary, a carpenter, and an instructor of mathematics at George Mason University.
He lived and worked in New York City, London, Texas, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia, and northern Virginia. He loved music, literature, film, and mathematics. He was a wellspring of culture and humor for everyone around him.
He is survived by his wife, brother, and four sons. He is loved and missed every day.
